Mineral Market Rules and Disclaimers

Please read the following rules to familiarize yourself with Mineral Market procedures.

Rules

  • Rule Number 1 -- Do not post anything that does not directly pertain to the category in which you place it! You will be removed from the Mineral Market on your first offense. This means that a post listed under "Fine Mineral Specimens" offering surplus deodorant is not welcome here. Where as a post under "Tools and Equipment" offering a cordless drill, although not completely related to Earth Science, would probably not be so harshly criticized. Try to keep posts pertinent to the respective topics

  • Rule Number 2 -- By listing items for bids or bidding on items for sale, you are entering into a binding contract with the bidder/seller. If you are reported for breaking a contract (misconduct) you will be issued a warning for a first offense, suspended for a period of 90 days for a second offense, and removed from the Mineral Market should you be reported a third time for misconduct. Every attempt will be made to properly ascertain the circumstances for misconduct. If you suddenly become unable to complete a transaction it is highly suggested that you contact the person with who are interacting and issue some sort of explanation and an apology.

  • Rule Number 3 -- Be polite! Rudeness and especially filthy language will not be tolerated.
